Gift Code Redemption Methods & Limits
Gift codes provide in-game currencies and enhancement items including Primogems, Mora, Hero's Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore. Promotional codes can be redeemed through two official methods provided by Cognosphere:
1. Web Redemption: Log in with an active account at https://genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift, select the target server and character nickname, and enter the code string.
2. In-Game Redemption: Open the Paimon menu, navigate to Settings -> Account -> Redeem Code, enter the promotional string, and confirm.
As of October 2026, the GachaPortal database tracks 6 working gift codes and 5 expired codes. Rewards are delivered directly to the in-game mailbox upon successful redemption.

Character Event Wish Rates & Pity Rules
The Character Event Wish banner follows standardized probability rates and pity thresholds published by Cognosphere and documented in the official rate disclosures.
The base drop rate for a 5-star character is 0.600%. If a player does not receive a 5-star character within 89 pulls, hard pity activates on the 90th pull, guaranteeing a 5-star drop. Soft pity begins around pull 74, where individual 5-star pull odds increase with each successive pull.
When a 5-star character is pulled, there is an initial 50% probability that it is the featured promotional character (consolidated 55% share factoring in the Capturing Radiance mechanic). If the pulled 5-star is not the featured promotional character, the next 5-star character pulled on a Character Event Wish banner is guaranteed to be the featured promotional character (180 pulls maximum).
Pity counters and guarantee status carry over between successive Character Event Wish banners. Players can calculate exact probability odds for target pull counts using the Genshin Impact Summon Calculator at /genshin-impact/summon-calculator/.
